Last Weeks of Summer

We are trying to enjoy the last few weeks of summer.  Last night we went to Tally's Dockside Restaurant - a place we frequent both by car and by boat.  We met up with my mom, brother, Mark, sisters Carol and Laura and brother-in-law, Chip, to listen to the music of Redpath.  We also enjoyed the rising of the glorious moon!

More Summer Fun

Brenny had quite a surprise when practicing piano -- Jeffrey jumped up and made himself comfortable on the keyboards!  I guess it was time for Bren to take a break from Bach!

Janet had a great night out with her sisters, Lois, Laura and Carol.  They went to dinner at the Old Spaghetti Factory and then saw Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice at the Guthrie Theater.

The view of the beautiful Stone Arch Bridge from the Guthrie.

Janet took the kids to Auntie Gayle's to play with cousins, Nick, Miles and Suzy.  As an added bonus, cousins, Juliet, Marissa and Noelle were there for the fun, as well!!

Another fun day out at White Beat Lake with Laura, Chip and cousin, Libby!

At the VFW for lunch.

So nice to pull up the boat, dock it and then dine on the deck facing the lake!

Janet had friends from high school over for dinner, including husbands and kids.  Ages of the kids ranged from 5 months - almost 12.  What a blast.

Here's school buddies, (from left to right) Karen, Janet, Meridee and Andrea.
Or should I say, "Kare Bear, Jaye, Daisy and Droid!"

Day Trip to Falconer Vineyards

Today we took a drive down to Red Wing, Minnesota to visit Falconer Vineyards and Winery.  Mr. Falconer, himself, came to say hello to us as we tasted wines.  We walked around the vineyard and had a wood fired pizza lunch there, too.

These are shots that Char took (below).  Pretty amazing, I think!

Fun with friends on a summer night

Charlotte's friend, Ayana, finally returned after two months in Japan.  They were very excited to see each other and exchanged little gifts.  Brennan spent the evening with his best mate, Anthony.

The kids had s'mores and watched what was left of our fireworks stash as we sat by the bonfire.

Here's Robot Brenny (something he made with Anthony):
