Bows and Arrows at the State Park
We had another great day hiking around a state park today. This time we went to William O'Brien state park. The kids picked up toy bows and arrows to shoot while we walked along.
Char searching and retrieving arrows...
Saw lots and lots of these caterpillars nests. Kind of creepy...
The Big Flood
Boy, did we get some rain yesterday! Thank goodness our house is high up on a hill, so the pond's flooding didn't affect us.
The kids loved playing in the water.
Our pond is more of a lake right now...
The walking path that disappears into the water.
You can see that our side isn't so bad because we have a lot of natural grasses/weeds to buffer between the pond and where our yard begins. Still, our weeping willow is flooded up the trunk now.
